Leeds United are in action in the Premier League on Monday night as they kick off a difficult run of games. The Whites are still not out of danger yet this season.
Leeds are just four points above the relegation zone, with eight games to go. Daniel Farke’s side will have five games on the road where they need to try and get some points, starting with the visit to Old Trafford. Outside that, the club will face relegation rivals West Ham and Spurs what could be must-win games to preserve their Premier League status.
Wolves are all but relegated, with Burnley close to them at the bottom. The fight to avoid the last relegation spot is now between Leeds, Spurs, Forest and West Ham. Four points separate all these sides, and with eight games to go, anything can happen.
Gabriel Agbonlahor, Alex Crook and Sam Matterface were discussing the Premier League relegation battle on talkSPORT, and which teams could survive.
”How many points do you think you’ll need to stay in the league this season? Average is 34.5. So you need 35 to stay in the league on average. But again because of the nature of Wolves performances mate and Burnley maybe you maybe it’s going to be a little bit more” Sam Matterface said.
”36 or 37 I think that’s what I would say. That’s why I say two wins for Spurs would take them on 36. I think that’ll be enough.” Alex Crook replied.
Agbonlahor added: ”So you don’t look at the remaining fixtures for Forest, Leeds and West Ham where they can get three wins?

Looking at all the other teams in the relegation battle, Leeds look like the more stable and consistent side. Spurs just got a new coach, and he will have to adapt to the team if he wants result. This will be made harder by the loss of Mohamed Kudus to injury. Forest are still in Europe, and have a second-leg tie in the Europa Conference League to worry about. West Ham has already lost twice to the Whites this season, leaving Farke’s men with an upper hand before the t wo sides meet again.
